MRS. FRAN WESSELING
President
Mrs. Wesseling is the surviving mother of Major Baldwin. She previously served as Executive Director of the Foundation for the Challenged in Columbus, Ohio. Since retirement in 2014, Mrs. Wesseling has advocated military soldiers and their families. She is currently a national Board member of the Green Beret Foundation (www.greenberetfoundation.org) and has raised millions of dollars to support the Foundation’s mission. Locally Mrs. Wesseling co-founded Project Rise Above, a nonprofit charity supporting Veteran participants of the Warren County Veterans Rehabilitation program in Lebanon, Ohio.

MRS. BIANCA BALDWIN
Vice President
Mrs. Bianca Baldwin is is the surviving spouse of Major Baldwin who she met in Giessen Germany where she earned her B.A. in Special Education from Justus-Liebig-University. Prior to becoming her late husband’s long-term caregiver, she actively supported the Special Warfare Center School (SWCS) and 10th Special Forces Group Family Readiness groups respectively. Since the passing of Darren in 2021, she has been advocating for military family caregivers and has dedicated much of her time to survivor outreach programs through the 98 Fund/the Alaska Project, T.A.P.S., and most recently Steel Hearts. Furthermore, Bianca is a certified Death doula specialist as of 2023, guiding those who are faced with terminal conditions and assisting them as well as their loved ones with navigating the complexities at the end of life.

MRS. VERONICA ASBURY-FROLLINI
Secretary
Mrs. Veronica Asbury-Frollini is the surviving sister of Major Baldwin. She is an ELA teacher and 30-year educator currently teaching at Olentangy Liberty middle school. She is proud to be the military liaison representative at her Purple Star school. She is a 1989 graduate of Thomas Worthington High School. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Ohio State University. She is also a former participant of the Leadership Worthington program. She is the proud parent of Conor Asbury, a scholar athlete of WKHS class of 2023 and student at Ohio Wesleyan University class of 2027.

DR. MARK BALDWIN
Treasurer
Dr. Mark Baldwin is the surviving twin brother of Major Baldwin. Dr. Baldwin is a Technical Fellow working in crew safety, spacecraft and mechanical design, test, and analysis at Lockheed Martin Space in Denver, CO. He is a 1993 graduate of Worthington Kilbourne High School and also attended Thomas Worthington High School for his freshman and sophomore years. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1997, a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998, and a Doctorate in Biomechanical Engineering from Denver University in 2010.

JASON KOSTAL
Board Member
Jason Kostal is a West Point Alumnus Class of 1998 and classmate of Major Baldwin. Currently he serves as a Board Member of The West Point Class of '98 Fund. He earned a master's degree from Emory University and is a retired officer of the U.S. Army. He is a renowned Master Guitar Artisan and owner of Kostal Guitars in Phoenix, AZ.

RYAN WESSELING
Board Member
Ryan Wesseling is the surviving stepbrother of Major Baldwin. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a degree in Criminology. Ryan retired as a Firefighter/Paramedic after serving 24 years in public service as both a Firefighter and Police Officer. He is owner of R & R by Ryan/Ascend Roofing Group in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is an avid snowboarder and is always seeking ways to better himself.

CONNOR ASBURY
Youth Ambassador
Connor Asbury is a surviving nephew of Major Baldwin who dearly loved his uncle and admired his dedicated military service. He is a 2023 graduate of Worthington Kilbourne High School and is currently attending Ohio Wesleyan University studying finance Class of 2027. He is a member of the University’s football team and letter recipient, part of the Economics Management Fellowship, Accounting and Finance Fellowship, a member of the Athletes In Action Program, and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

JACK WESSELING
Youth Ambassador
Jack Wesseling is a surviving nephew of Major Baldwin who admired his uncle’s years of dedicated military service. He is a 2024 graduate of Milford High School, Cincinnati, Ohio and a scholar athlete in football. Jack also graduated from Great Oaks Career School, where he studied welding technologies. Jack is currently employed as a structural welder working on Navy ships in Norfolk, Virginia and married to Cam Wesseling, currently active duty in the United States Navy. Jack is a proponent of high school students exploring various trades and earning certifications while in school.
